Earth Science or Geoscience is the bridging studies to the advanced level in Earth Science. The purpose of this subject is to help motivates you, students and guaranteeing your success in science education after completion of secondary education, as well as a preparation for tertiary studies, it also contributes towards education in the fields of health, safety and environment for student choosing to specialize in scientific subjects.

The teaching objective in Earth Science is to understand the world that surrounds us and explain the reality of that world. This is achieved by using methods of investigation based on the observation of the phenomena at different levels of organizations and on operations, experiments and models that test explanatory hypotheses and foster critical thinking.

Earth Science is not a separate subject, but has interactions with other subjects. In particular, it is linked to:

For Time Allocation, classes are allocated 4 hours of teaching per week.

For Minimum Pass Mark, you will be expected to obtain at least 20/40 in coursework and 30/60 in the final examination in order to pass this subject.

Studying Earth Science, you can be a Meteorologist, Ecologist, Environmental scientist, Hydrogeologist, Geophysicist and so forth.
